The
Emirate of Ajman is situated on the coast of the
Arabian Gulf, extending over a distance of 16km
between the emirate of Umm- Al- Quwain & Sharjah.
It covers about 259 sq. km which is equivalent
to the 0.3% of the country's total area.The ruler of this
Emirate is His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashed
Al Nuaimi. It has population of 118,812. The Emirate
of Ajman has three geographical regions. They
include Ajman City, Masfout region & Manama region. |

Economic Development
During the last decade the Ajman Economy achieved
marked growth in the various Business sectors. |

Ajman Port provides superb
facilities & incentives to investors & businessmen &
the Port Authority has also set up two dry docks. |

There are unspoiled beaches, with its distinctive
position in the center of the country. |

institutes for higher education. Ajman University
for Science & Technology, and secondly the Gulf
Medical College which is specialized in medical
& health studies. Another institute, The Arab
College specializes in Administration sciences
& post graduate studies. |

The agricultural & fisheries
sectors cover regions as Helayu, Masfout, Mizaira &
Manama. Ajman is also the base for units processing
& exporting a variety of fish & seafood to many Asian
& European Countries. |
