HE FATIMA OBEID AL JABER

Ms Fatima Al Jaber is an engineer with significant expertise in the management of international businesses in various industry sectors. She graduated from the UAE University in Al Ain in 1987 with a Bachelor degree in Architectural Engineering.
Between 1988 and 2005 Fatima worked with the Abu Dhabi Government in various technical and managerial positions, with a pivotal role as the Assistant undersecretary for Technical Services at the Abu Dhabi Public Works Department, and following on from this position, an appointment as the Undersecretary for the Building Projects Sector of the Abu Dhabi Municipality.
In 2006, Fatima was voted by Forbes Arabia as the 8th most influential woman in the Arab world and this position is affirmed by her appointments to the Board of Directors for companies including the National Investor, Abu Dhabi Takaful Company and the Al Jaber Group.
Presently Fatima holds the position of Chief Operating Officer for the Al Jaber Group, also sitting on the Group’s Board of Directors as an Executive Director. Her key responsibilities include overseeing the management on a daily basis of all the Group’s contracting, logistics, industrial, trading, investment and real estate subsidiaries.
Additionally, Fatima Manages and liaises with external partners, contacts and governmental authorities in relation to the Al Jaber Group’s participation and contribution towards the growth of the UAE , in particular Abu Dhabi and its infrastructure.
Fatima has been involved heavily in the empowerment of Emirati women through her current position as Deputy Chairperson of the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen’s council and her previous appointment as one of the first female representatives to the Board of Directors of The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry. |
