cap |

Rashid Al Leem, Venu Rajamony and other officials cut the ribbon at the inauguration ceremony |
The Sharjah Hamriyah Free Zone has
added another feather to its cap, with the
manufacture of steel castings and valves by KEF
Holdings promoted by JC Valves Sharjah and Emirates
Techno Castings ('ETC'). This has provided a new
vista for the cast iron valves market growing in the
Middle East. The KEF plant spread over a
50,000-square metre area incorporates advanced
facilities and state-of-the-art machineries, making
it the first integrated manufacturer of industrial
valves in the Middle East.JC Valves Sharjah, a
certified manufacturer of industrial valves, will
operate the plant and foundry.
KEF will produce a comprehensive and specialised
range of industrial valves for the oil and gas,
petrochemicals, oil, gas, petrochemicals, water and
energy markets, which are thriving. The inauguration
was attended by Dr. Rashid Al Leem, DG, HFZ, H.E
Venu Rajamony, Counsel General of India; Faizal
Kottikollon, KEF Holding's Founder and CEO; and
Anand Krishnan, Chief Operating Officer of Dubai
International Capital and other dignitaries from
mega corporation. Following the acquisition of a 45
per cent stake in KEF Holdings by Dubai
International Capital, expansion of the plant and
foundry is envisaged.
Faizal Kottikollon, CEO of KEF Holdings is of the
view that new plant from HFZ will bring much needed
self-reliance to the Middle East, reducing costs and
time for its clients in the oil and gas, mining, and
petrochemical industries in the Middle East, Asia,
Europe, and the United States. The annual
requirement of oil and gas valves in the Middle East
is currently in excess of US$3 billion and is
projected to grow by 10 percent annually. Expansion
plans include setting up similar facilities in Saudi
Arabia and a distribution network and service
centres in Qatar, Kuwait and Iran, which allow KEF
to be closer to customers. |
