Hamriyah Free Zone gets global recognition
The World Association for Small and Medium Enterprises (WASME) has hailed Sharjah’s Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZ) for its effort in supporting the small and medium enterprises (SMEs). It houses at least 2,500 various industries in all zones.
The Director General of HFZ, Rashid Al Leem said that strengthening the technical co-operation between the authority and WASME would be good for the industries. “By becoming a member, WASME will indirectly and actively support HFZ activities. At this time of great changes in the industrial sector, it is important for the sector to be represented with a strong body like WASME.”
Indian-based WASME has emerged the largest professionally managed global non-governmental organisation, with members and associates worldwide also serving micro businesses. HFZ is strategically located between the region’s international shipping lanes with the Indian subcontinent, Trans Pacific, the Far East, Europe. |
