| STEEL ZONE |
“ZONING” the world is derived from the practice of designating permitted uses of land based on mapped zones. Zoning commonly includes regulations of the kind of activities which will be acceptable in particular lots.In
HFZA, the concept of zoning system, implemented in 2003 with a vision of promoting integration into
sectors, which |
 |
will improve the outlook of the Free Zone. The motive behind establishing STEEL ZONE was, as steel industries required large areas compared to other industries and also considering the huge consumption of water/electricity and natural gas. The necessity of catering to these utilities is much easier and economical to the steel industries. It has encouraged us to focus on clustering of industries on a
zone basis. This idea already evoked interest in a lot of big players in steel and allied industries, making this a success story. With special regards to steel industries, it should be noted that having ancillary units and suppliers in the same area will help in the logistics and the common / mutual beneficial advantages of the industries. Moreover, this could help us to achieve an easier environmental control by way of having common treatment plants / waste management.
Under this sector approximately 60 steel industries have gathered and the following are the few among the major steel companies SR Steel, Al Ruya Steel,
Mammut, Belleli, SAD Steel, Bhuvalka Steel, ATG Steel etc. |
