Two years into its launch, Dubai Media City won the `Gulf - Brand of the Decade' Award. Three years later, it continues to develop in more ways than we had imagined. With over 1, 000 companies and 250 freelancers based here today, it has become one of the most sought after business locations for the media industry. Over 400 titles are published and over 100 channels are broadcast from Dubai Media City. There are 380 media and marketing services companies, 105 production and post production companies, and the other segments are equally vibrant.

Industry initiatives launched by Dubai Media City are the lbda'a Media Student Awards, which brought in over 2,000 entries from around the world for its last edition, and the Dubai International Film Festival, which had an attendance of over 20,000 people in its second year. Recently awarded the ISO 9000 certification, Dubai Media City is also receiving huge global recognition.


With unanticipated levels of high demand, Dubai Media City soon launched two new free zones for the media industry - the `International Media Production Zone' and `Dubai Studio City'.
